The words of the Apostle Paul in 1 Timothy 1.12 read; “I thank Christ Jesus our Lord who has enabled me, because he has counted me faithful, putting me into the ministry.”

Over the years I have watched some church leaders end in a crumbled heap, with a heart disillusioned, and other people around them lacking cohesion and feeling disconnected, simply because the leader is not ministering in their grace.

Paul acknowledged that it was Jesus Christ who put him into the ministry; therefore he could state confidently that it was God who had enabled him, given him the power, sustained him and kept him so he could fulfill the purpose of God for his life.

The words of Jesus in the Message Bible support Paul; “Are you tired? Worn out? Burned out on religion? Come to me. Get away with me and you will recover your life. I’ll show you how to take a real rest. Walk with me – watch how I do it. Learn the unforced rhythms of grace. I will not lay anything or ill-fitting upon you. Keep company with Me and you’ll learn to live freely and lightly”

It is a joy to behold when we see leaders growing in the grace of God in their ministry and reaping the rewards of a fruitful life.
