Report from Burkina Faso
This report was recorded as we commenced our ministry in Burkina Faso
We are praying how we can be involved in establishing schools and health clinics in the South West area of Burkina. There is very little international aid reaching this area.

A HOUSE OF INFLUENCE no 4
V17 I will prepare a lamp for my anointed.
The anointing of the Holy Spirit, takes us from the natural into the supernatural realm of God. Jesus was the lamp mentioned in this scripture and His example was of a life empowered by the Holy Spirit’s anointing. Wherever He went, the miraculous power of God’s anointing was manifest with signs, wonders, and miracles. Churches of influence receive the anointed power of the Holy Spirit to bring miraculous change.
10. IT IS A HOUSE WHERE JESUS CHRIST IS GLORIFIED.
V18 upon Himself his glory shall flourish
In Isaiah Chapter 60, Isaiah challenges God’s people, “to arise, shine for the glory of the Lord has risen upon you.” The church is called to carry the glory of God to broken humanity and make known the wonderful plan of God’s redemption and saving grace. Churches of influence carry with confidence God’s glory because they are committed to making a difference.
Join with me, and let’s build ‘Christ Centred Churches’ throughout the nations of the world that bring change to the world.

A HOUSE OF INFLUENCE no3
V16 I will also clothe her priest with salvation
Salvation is not just a moment when we give our lives to Jesus Christ and are saved, but it is also an ongoing process for a Christian. Personal growth must be the responsibility of every believer, and in the words of Paul in Philippians 3.12-14, “I have not arrived and I am still pressing towards the goal of the higher call of God in Christ Jesus.” Churches of influence are committed to personal growth and development.
7. IT IS A HOUSE OF JOY AND CELEBRATION
V16 her saint shall shout aloud for joy
I like how Psalm 16 states, ‘in God’s presence is fullness of joy,’ and also in the book of Nehemiah it declares ‘the joy of the Lord is our strength.’ Environments of joy and celebration are contagious and people are drawn to such events. Christian events should be filled with fun and laughter. Churches of influence know how to have fun and enjoy the journey.
8. IT IS A HOUSE OF LEADERSHIP AND AUTHORITY
V17 I will make the horn (government) of David grow
Leadership is important if the church is to keep impacting and growing. The church needs good structure and governance that serves the vision God has entrusted to them. It is important to honour and respect the God given gifts of leadership that have been given to the church. Churches of influence release the gifts of leadership so the church can prosper and fulfil its destiny.

'A HOUSE OF INFLUENCE' no2
3. IT IS A HOUSE THAT HOLDS AN ETERNAL PERSPECTIVE
V14 this is my resting place forever, here I will dwell because I have desired it.
I love the way the writer of the book of Hebrews explains the attitude of Jesus in chapter 12.2; “looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despised the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.” Jesus has left us an inspiring example, in that he never lost sight of His eternal vision, no matter what He went through. Churches of influence build with an eternal perspective that passes from one generation to another.
4. IT IS A HOUSE OF ABUNDANCE
V15 I will abundantly bless her provision
Abundance is at the very nature of God, and He never does things sparingly. It is important to live life with the knowledge that God is our source. Churches of influence know how to access God’s provision by faith, and do not live in lack.

BUILDING A CHURCH THAT HAS INFLUENCE
A HOUSE OF INFLUENCE
I have a passion to see significant churches of influence established in major cities around the world. I call these churches ‘Apostolic Houses.’ They have the power to influence cities and nations by glorifying Jesus Christ through the life and testimony of the people God. I personally am encouraged and inspired by one of the Psalms of Accent. These Psalms were written as the Children of Israel ascended to the House of God.
Here are some thought I have gleaned from Psalm 132.13-18
1. IT IS THE LORDS HOUSE
V13 for the Lord has chosen Zion (His Church)
It should go without saying that the Church belongs to Jesus Christ, yet throughout the world this is not so. Jesus Christ has chosen the church to be His bride on earth, and therefore to glorify Him. Churches of influence keep Jesus Christ in His rightful place.
2. IT IS A HOUSE FOR THE PRESENCE OF GOD
V13 he has desired it for His dwelling place
The good news proclaimed throughout the New Testament is; God no longer dwells in buildings made with bricks and mortar, but every born again believer is now a temple of the Holy Spirit, a dwelling place for God. When believers come together he calls this gathering the ‘Church’ or the ‘House of God.’ God love to dwell in the midst of His people. Churches of influence constantly acknowledge God’s presence.
